Is there anything better than brunch? Okay maybe there is, but brunch is high up on the list for many. One of the reasons Team Gavin loves Denver, Colorado is because of all the amazing brunch spots. Whether you’re visiting Denver for a few days or need a little break from the home buying process, we’ve got you covered with the best brunch recommendations.
A menu so delicately created by six different bacon flavor profiles? Count us in! Habanero, garlic, candied, paleo, applewood, and a chef’s choice – we’re drooling just writing this. The best part is that you can get a flight of bacon. How genius is that?! They also have thick, boozy slices of challah bread french toast. There are lighter options for those friends that just can’t handle their bacon, but we couldn’t not include this spot in our roundup.
Are you a biscuits and gravy fan? Good. We are too. That’s why we love Denver Biscuit Co!! They have four locations around Denver, which is perfect if you’re not looking to go too far. They have the biggest, fluffiest biscuits that will have you wishing your stomach had room for at least 10 more. Their most popular item is the Franklin Breakfast Sandwich, featuring buttermilk fried chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, and a smothering of gravy (plus you can add an egg!). If you’ve got more of a sweet tooth, then fear not! They have about eleven biscuit sandwich options, seven plates and jaw dropping cinnamon rolls. There’s usually a line out the door on weekends, but trust us when we say it’s worth the wait.
Two locations. A simple menu. No meals over $12. Beignets as a side option. I mean…what more do you need?? We love the Uptown location which is on the smaller side, but features an incredible bakery and pastry display. Every meal is made with local, organic, and sustainable ingredients which we think is just the bees knees. Try pairing any of your dishes with one of their fresh squeezed juices!
Multiple locations and multiple kinds of eggs benedicts?? Count us in! We were drawn in from the moment we walked in the door. That first bite is everything you could ever want in a breakfast. Enjoy the plenty of options for all kinds of taste buds.
We’re sticking to true Denver classics for this one and we’d be remiss not to include Snooze! They’re so good that they’ve even expanded into California, Arizona, and Texas. One day in 2006, two brothers decided they wanted to alter the breakfast experience for good (and we are forever indebted to them for that). If you’re an early bird, this is the place for you because most locations open bright and early at 6:30am! Going with multiple people is best because then you can try everything, per the recommendation of the servers. This place is also great for those with food sensitivities including vegan and gluten free options.
