Explore Denver on a Dime

From a layover on the way to Colorado’s most famous ski resorts to what is now a thriving metropolitan city, Denver is a top hot spot for travelers within the United States. Denver is the perfect place to visit for that lively city feel, but if you’re not careful, it can be easy to “break the bank”. With rising costs all across the country, how can you explore Denver on a dime? We’ve compiled a list of our top (budget-friendly) spots.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Known as one of the world’s most famous concert venues, Red Rocks Amphitheatre is definitely one of a kind and home to the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. But the best part? Visitors can enjoy a free outdoor gym with majestic views of sandstone formations and the Denver skyline, while stretching and meditating with some yoga. The amphitheater is open daily, an hour before sunrise until an hour after sunrise (when no shows are scheduled), giving you plenty of time to get in your daily steps amongst the beautiful scenery!

North Table Rock Mountain

If you’re into hiking, that may just be the best bang for your buck in Colorful Colorado! While there are countless hikes you can enjoy, North Table Rock Mountain is only a 20-minute drive from Denver and a perfect choice for those quick trips. The first bit of the hike is pretty steep but once you’re atop the mesa, all of the trails flatten out with a panoramic view of the city of Golden, CO and the Denver skyline.

RiNo

The River North Arts District is full of lively and colorful street art, where you can take in the funky scenery at your leisure, and at no cost to you. As you’re walking around, you’ll also find some excellent breweries and eateries of all price ranges, providing a really fun experience for all who visit!

Tattered Cover Bookstore and Cafe

Are you a book lover? Then this is the place for you! Tattered Cover Bookstore and Cafe has three locations in Denver (a few just outside of Denver, too!) and has a nice selection of cafe refreshments to quench your thirst as you peruse the aisles and aisles of books.

Great Divide Brewing Co

There are a ridiculous amount of great local breweries to choose from in Denver but we recommend checking out Great Divide! Known for their unique and flavorful beers, this brewery has two awesome locations – one in the Ballpark District and one in the RiNo District. Both locations offer a free 30-minute tour of the facilities.

Whether you’re staycation-ing or in town for a quick trip, we hope Denver makes a dent in your heart, and not your pocket! If you ever have questions about anything Denver or Colorado related, we’d love to chat. Feel free to shoot us a message on Facebook or Instagram.
